Founded in 1989, SENTRE is a vertically integrated commercial real estate investment management firm headquartered in San Diego, California with extensive experience in office, industrial, retail and multi-family properties. SENTRE has acquired, developed and/or operated projects throughout the West Coast totaling more than 11 million square feet and $4.4B in transactional volume. In addition, SENTRE co-founded Vesta, a dual listed (NYSE: VTMX, BMV: VESTA), publicly traded industrial real estate company operating in Mexico with a portfolio of 43 million square feet valued in excess of $3.6B (as of Q3 2024).
Doug Arthur, President & CEO of SENTRE, leads the company’s vertically integrated investment platform, sets the strategic vision for the firm and is active in the company’s investments, development, joint ventures, capital markets activities and all aspects of the firm’s operations. Doug also leads the company’s Board of Directors. Prior to leading the company, Doug founded SENTRE Living, the company’s multi-family platform, that focuses on acquiring and developing apartment communities throughout the Western United States.
Doug graduated from Harvard Business School’s OPM Executive Education program and received a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of San Diego. Doug also graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara where he earned a B.A. in Psychology and Art History and was the captain of their Division I water polo team.
Doug is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and sits on the board of directors and chairs the investment committee for Vesta, a publicly traded industrial real estate firm headquartered in Mexico City (NYSE: VTMX; BMV: VESTA), chairs the board of directors and executive committee for Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation, sits on the board of trustees and chairs the finance and investment committee for The Bishop’s School in La Jolla, California and is active on the Policy Advisory Board for the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego. He is also a former San Diego Chapter board member of the National Association for Industrial & Office Parks (NAIOP) as well as the board of directors for the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation (EDC).
Doug and his family are active in the community including their support of Rady Children’s Hospital via the annual Nikki St. Germain Memorial Golf Tournament. The annual event honors Nikki’s lifelong focus on improving the health and happiness of children in her community. Proceeds from the tournament provide social and psychological programs for children undergoing treatment at the Peckham Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders at Rady Children’s Hospital through an endowment. The event has raised over $1.5M to date.
Doug and his wife, Remley, have four children.
